How a custom song is made elsewhere, honestly.

Studio-written songs are lovely and slow. Ours is written from your words, you hear it before you pay, and the files are yours the same day.

Before you start

Is a custom song the right gift?

Usually. Not always. Here is the honest version so you do not spend five minutes finding out.

It is, when

A milestone where the words matter more than the wrapping: a big birthday, an anniversary, a wedding, a graduation.
Someone far away. A song travels better than a parcel and arrives on the morning you choose.
A parent or grandparent who keeps everything. The lyric sheet ends up on the fridge or the nightstand.
A memorial or a hard year. Gentle by default, in your words, no cheer forced on it.

It is not, when

Someone who hates surprises or being the centre of attention. A song in front of the family is exactly that.
You need something in their hands tomorrow and nothing else will do. The song is ready in minutes, but it is a file and a page, not a parcel.
You cannot think of four true sentences about them. We prompt you, but the song can only be as specific as you are.
You want a radio-ready track or a pro vocal for an ad. This is a keepsake, made with AI music tools, and we say so.

FAQ

Questions people ask before they start.

How much is it?

One payment, everything included: the full song with both takes, the MP3 and WAV, the lyric sheet, a private gift page, and free name and fact fixes. The Keepsake adds the lyric video, a second style and a printable poster. The only add-on at checkout is the lyric video, unticked by default. You see the exact amount on the checkout page before you pay, and it does not change after the preview. See pricing.

How long does it take?

About three minutes to answer the questions, a minute to read the lyrics, and the recording takes around two minutes. Most people press play on the real song inside ten minutes of starting. There is no rush fee because there is nothing to rush.

What if I don’t love it?

You hear 45 seconds of both takes before you pay, so you only buy it if it already works. After purchase:

Name, pronunciation and fact fixes are free, always. One new take is included. If two fixes still don't get it right, full refund within 30 days.

Can I download it?

Yes, that is the point. The MP3 (320 kbps) and the WAV are on your page the moment you pay, with no expiry and no “download fee”. The private song page and the gift page stay up for as long as we exist.

Is it really unique?

The lyrics are written from your answers only: their name, the thing they always say, the memory you chose. Nothing is filled in from a template, which is why we ask you for real specifics and nudge you when a memory is too short. The recording is made fresh for that lyric; no two songs share a line.

Is it AI?

Written from your words, produced with AI music tools, checked automatically for the name and every line — and a person reads every fix request.

There are no session musicians and we will not pretend otherwise. What you get is a song that is specifically about them, in minutes, that you can hear before you pay.

Will you pronounce the name right?

The first step asks how the name sounds, and the lyric sheet shows you exactly how it will be sung (“Siobhán, sung as shi-VAWN”) before anything is recorded. Every take is checked automatically for the name. If it is still wrong, name fixes are free, always, with no limit.

What do I get, exactly?

A full song of about two and a half to three minutes: two verses, a chorus you hear twice and a bridge that ends on your sign-off. Two takes of it (A and B), the MP3 and WAV of whichever you choose, a typeset lyric sheet as PDF, a private song page and a gift page with a note, a photo and scheduled delivery. Keepsake adds the lyric video, a second style version and an A3 poster.
