Terms of service.

SpecialSong Ltd runs special-song.com and sells the songs on it. Write to [email protected] about anything in these terms; a person answers within 24 hours.

A questionnaire, lyrics written from your answers, a recording of those lyrics made with AI music tools, a preview of that recording, and, if you buy, the files and pages listed on the pricing page. Written from your words, produced with AI music tools, checked automatically for the name and every line — and a person reads every fix request.

You must be 18 or older, or have a parent’s consent, to buy. You confirm that you have the right to tell us what you tell us about the person the song is for.

The Song ($69) and The Keepsake ($79) are one-time purchases described on the pricing page. Add-ons after purchase are priced on your song page. All prices are in US dollars and include everything listed; there is no account, subscription, download fee or expiry.

Personal use (The Song and The Keepsake):

Yours to keep, play, gift and share with the people in your life, forever: the files, the lyrics and the page, including on your own social media. Not for resale, streaming or distribution services, broadcast or paid advertising. We make no warranty that the recording is copyrightable.

Business use (The Keepsake only):

Business use allowed under our terms: play it at your event, in your office and on your own social channels. No broadcast, no paid ads, no resale, no streaming or distribution services, no copyright warranty, no indemnity.

We grant these licences to the extent of the rights we hold, and we cannot grant more. The music is produced through third-party AI music tools whose terms do not allow us to warrant copyright or to license broadcast or paid advertising, and a recording made this way may resemble other music. You may not use the song or the lyrics to train AI models. If you need wider use, contact us before ordering and we will say plainly whether we can help.

What you wrote in the questionnaire stays yours. You let us use it only to write, record, deliver and fix your song.

Name, pronunciation and fact fixes are free, always. One new take is included. If two fixes still don't get it right, full refund within 30 days.

Fixes are requested from your song page. For anything else about your order, write to us and a person answers within 24 hours. Before purchase nothing is charged: if you do not buy the preview, you owe nothing.

The guarantee comes on top of your rights under the consumer law of the country you live in; nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not see or store card numbers. You are charged once, the amount shown at checkout, when you press Pay.

No contact details (phone numbers, email addresses, street addresses) in any answer; the form will stop you. No content that is hateful, harassing, sexual about a minor, or that you do not have the right to share. We may decline to record a brief that breaks this, and will say so.

Previews cost us money, so there is a limit: fifteen free songs per email per day. If you hit it, the page tells you when you can try again. We may also ask you to confirm you are a person.

A gift page is private: it is reachable only by its link, which you control. A reaction the recipient leaves is shown to you and to nobody else unless the recipient ticks the box allowing us to share it. You can revoke a gift page at any time from your song page.

How we handle your answers, your email and the song is in the privacy policy. You can delete everything we hold for your email at /privacy/erase.

Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us for the order in question. We are not liable for how a song lands with its recipient, and we do not promise that any recording is copyrightable. Nothing here limits liability we cannot limit by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where SpecialSong Ltd is registered, and its courts hear any dispute. If you buy as a consumer and live in another country, you keep the protection of that country’s mandatory consumer law and may also bring a claim in your local courts.

These terms are version 2026-10-15, in force from that date. When they change we publish the new version here under a new date. The version you accepted and the time you accepted it are recorded with your email when you start a song, and the version in force on the day you pay applies to that order.
